During the summer of 2020, I became a part-time, seasonal employee at one of Trek's Distribution Centers. Due to my job being seasonal and due to me moving to San Diego mid-August, I only worked for 3 months. Yet in those 3 months, I was able to learn so much about the supply chain aspect of businesses. My daily routine ranged from checking inventory in the receiving department, picking items requested for each order, and/or packing these items and adding a shipping label. Dance Instructor
-
May 2019 - Dec 2019
I was called in to be a substitute dance teacher for 4 classes: ballet/jazz/tap for ages 3-5, ballet/jazz/tap for ages 6+, hip hop for ages 3-5, and hip hop for ages 6+. I was in charge of planning out what activties and lessons that would be taught that day as well as choregraphing routines for the end of the session recital. Through this job, I was able to learn how to effectively communicate to the students I was teaching and to their parents that had an questions or concerns about the class. I gained lots of confidence and learned how cater to each age group to maintain their focus and attention. Show less
