  Established in 1995 by a handful of founding families, Giant Steps Sydney operates as a Special Needs School for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Giant Steps offers its students a tailored educational approach that suits their learning and long-term lifestyle needs, as well as intensive access to a team of transdisciplinary Allied Health Professionals, including Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Music Therapists.   Whilst completing my Bachelor of Speech Pathology with The University Of Newcastle, I worked privately with local families in the capacity of an Attendant Care Worker. In addition to establishing a companionable and meaningful relationship with my clients and their families, I also assisted with 'in-house' home care and a variety of respite, communication and community support services.
