By co-leading the installation committee my responsibilities were: + Research, critique and learn from issues faced in previous years exhibitions. + Facilitate site-specific on-ground research on space limitations, sound and light. + Initiate brainstorming and encourage idea flow on curation, use of space, sound and lighting. + Constantly working with 80 students on their thesis projects to get a sense of their requirements and accordingly adjusting our plans. + Meeting with the Fire & Safety Regulation head to go over plans and designs to make sure safety standards are met. + Budgeting for materials for the show including lighting, wiring and signage. + Collaborating with architects to convert hand drawn maps into measurement specific CAD map of the show. + Collaborating with the Design team to create a visually engaging & user friendly version of the map. + Working and brainstorming with carpenters to construct materials for the show and for student-specific projects that meet the safety and exhibition standard. + Leading and disseminating 80 students into teams to convert and transform the space into an exhibition. + Working with every student to see that their needs are met- spatially & technically. + Quality checks and troubleshooting projects during the exhibition.
