AGGPSA contributes to the advancement of dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystems in South Africa to improve the contexts in which the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, E2 and entrepreneurs operate by increasing their chance to scale, have lasting success, and facilitate job creation. It does this through grant making and the incubation of targeted social initiatives. The Grant-Making Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a unit within AGGPSA which leverages financial assets to make impactful grants that strengthen organisational capacity, increase the sustainability of supported initiatives, improve programme effectiveness, and encourage catalytic change. CoE does this by sourcing, evaluating, selecting, awarding, and managing grants on behalf of AGGPSA and various entities within the AGGP Group, thereby creating opportunities for collaboration and learning by creating platforms for shared learning alongside grant portfolios. As a Grant-making Officer I am responsible for developing and managing grant investments to support the various entities within the AGGP group. Show less

Responsible for developing, executing and monitoring national rural development and agribusiness initiatives. As the Head of Rural Development and Social Investment at Agri Enterprises I have experience in social investment strategy development and implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation services, for Foundations, International donor organisations and corporate developmental projects. The objective of this project is to mentor and develop 720 emerging livestock farmers by introducing key technical and financial aspects to their agribusinesses. Momentum female agri-preneurial development This project is in partnership with the Momentum Metropolitan foundation. The objective of this project is to identify female emerging farmers in KZN and develop their skills in business management and financial literacy. At the end of the Comprehensive Mentorship Training a portion of these farmers will have access to working capital funding.
