I am an experienced primary school teacher and have worked in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I have high expectations of children and I’m committed to supporting children to reach their full potential. Being a teacher enables me to work as part of a team as well as using my own initiative. I am approachable and have excellent relationships with my colleagues, parents and pupils. I have excellent communication and presentation skills. As part of my responsibilities, I have led on numerous projects and I’m currently responsible for Mathematics across the whole school. Other key responsibilities include: • Assessing data and summarising key findings • Working towards multiple deadlines for a variety of stakeholders • Working both individually and as part of a team to deliver high quality lessons • Creating engaging and challenging lessons using my initiative • Working collaboratively with parents and providing tools to accelerate their child’s learning • Working with external agencies to discuss how best we can support children with specific needs • Chairing meetings with parents to improve attendance and supporting parents to achieve this • Continuous professional development and training completed regularly • Leading a team and offering guidance/support to members of staff who require it • Following school policies and procedures • Adapting to everchanging government guidance including curriculum changes, safeguarding and so forth • Writing reports to inform parents of their child’s progression • Prioritising workload Show less
