The aim of the project is to understand the experience of formal carers using technology for caring elderly people in their homes. The research involved two phases Phase one | Semi-structured Interview During the semi-structured interview, the intention is to know formal carers past and current experience of caring, their frequency of clients, what kind of health information they are interested in collecting regularly, how much time they spend on writing care notes, the needs and difficulties of writing a care note and how are the care notes collected, analysed and shared with people who are involved with the care community such as GPs, nurses, care managers etc. Phase 2 | Diary studies Formal carers will be asked to keep a diary for one week period to record your daily difficulties of using the product developed for them.
