Supporting Willowbrook Hospice's fundraising team to secure donations via fundraising events and campaigns. This involves helping organise and promote events and supporting people who want to organise their own fundraisers. Other duties include: liaising with supporters in the community, schools, colleges and corporate supporters, producing promotional materials (6 monthly newsletter, event literature), updating website and using social media (facebook and twitter) to engage with supporters, writing press releases and working with other agencies to ensure the effective promotion of events, maintaining and updating donor records (paper based and electronic). I regularly work with volunteers both in the office and at events and also play a key role in supporting young people on work experience placements.
