I worked alongside Sue for seven years—she became my ‘go to’ person. I've seen her not only excel at the core elements of her job— technology transfer, proofreading, copy editing, document control—but also extend well beyond the scope of her role. Sue has a vast background of technical and software knowledge, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with firm deadlines simultaneously. Sue has a well-deserved reputation as someone who is diligent and personable—two qualities that define her completely. As someone who is a creative thinker and possesses a can-do attitude, Sue is a pleasure to work with. I recommend her highly for any organization that chooses to take benefit from her diverse skills.

As the senior technical documentation specialist for a global research consortium, I managed all aspects of the technology transfer process between the consortium and its member companies, including technical content generation, proofreading and copy editing, layout and design, and graphics design and conversion. On average, 3,000 pages of technical documentation were produced each year working with single and multiple authors from around the world. Technology transfer to the SEMATECH member companies occurs through a variety of means: project reports, experimental data, technical and research papers, policies, procedures, statements of work, user guides, instructor guides, specifications, newsletters, and a members-only website. I participated in the creation of several large, complex semiconductor mask documentation projects ranging from 350–600 pages, which are all industry standards. Served as website administrator for the consortium's members-only website. These responsibilities included: managing a website with a repository of about 15,000 technical publications; managing the membership of 7 programs, 35 projects, 20 advisory boards and business councils, and 80 working groups; publishing meeting announcements, meeting registrations and calendars for more than 200 meetings a year; maintaining accurate organization and individual access (~40 companies/4000 users) to technical information, based on specific organization contractual agreements.
