I'll never forget the day we interviewed Sue for our part-time assistant and customer service rep position. It was a group/panel interview - four potential employees at the table with all three of our full-time staffers. Because this position involved working with the public - sometimes more than one person at a time - we wanted to see how the applicants handled themselves in a group. Sue handled a potentially stressful situation beautifully and we knew instantly she was going to be our new staff member. She just clicked with us and impressed us with her personality and demeanor. Sue is knowledgeable of so many aspects of business and is witty and laid-back in dealing with our visitors which makes them feel very welcome here in our city's visitors center. An organization expert, she keeps on top of our inventories of every giveaway, product, brochure in our office and souvenir shop. She processes all of our requests for welcome bags for conferences, weddings, tour groups and more - a thankless job involving making copies of several brochures, gathering supplies and preparing box after box of these various client bags, readying them for pick-up or delivery. Sue also processes all leads we receive for brochures and other information about our city, preparing our bulk mail bins for mail out. These are only a handful of her many responsibilities as a team member, and I can confidently say everyone who comes in contact with Sue - our visitors, board members, tourism partners, city council members, volunteer organizations and of course, McKinney CVB staff - love and respect her for her skills, professionalism and relaxed, upbeat personality.
