I managed both ESF projects to support offenders and jobseekers to gain and suatain work and Lifelong Learning Programme projects to support staff and learners. These ranged from learning partnerships and mobility programmes to large and small scale partnerships involving over 15 countries. I successfully managed the delivery of an ESF project with the UK and Romanian Prison Service to develop the training of prison officers to improve the social inclusion of offenders. This included two visits to Romania working with Government officials and organising the work placements of 15 Romanian prison officers in the UK. Show less

I managed the effective and successful delivery of the Offenders Learning and Skills Service in 6 prisons in Lancashire ranging from Young Offenders Institutions, Open Prisons to Category C and B prisons with Vulnerable Prisoner units. I was a Senior Manager of over 300 staff and ensured a quality curriculum for offender learners, including employability skills in preparation for rehabilitation. I worked closely with the prison service to ensure an integrated approach to courses and services for offenders. Show less
