Bio
Olivier Nicolas
I strongly recommend Suba for a position in any HCV or HIV anti-viral project. She is highly motivated and strongly result oriented. She performed very well in all the aspects of the HCV projetc she was involved in: mutagenesis, cloning, amplification from selected replicon cells, cell culture, RNA transfection.

I worked with Subajini Selliah (Suba) during my postdoctoral studies at St-Luc Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada under Dr. Marc Bilodeau. Suba was an expert on the topic of Hepatitis C (HCV). Her technical focus was on using polymerase chain reaction to detect viral RNA in HCV-infected hepatocytes and livers. Suba's work culminated in a publication outlining the use of isolated human hepatocytes from HCV-infected livers as a model to study HCV. During our tenure in St. Luc, we also collaborated on an unrelated project concerning a new mechanism of drug interaction. As a result, her work significantly contributed to our recent article showing for the first time an association between drug glucuronidation and vitamin C synthesis in rat hepatocytes. Out of the 3 years that I have worked alongside Suba, I know her be a dependable colleague with a great personality. She has contributed to numerous projects and is devoted to excellence in her work.
