Job Description and main responsibilities: · Attend and participate in monthly Country Committee meetings; · Establish a detailed work plan and meeting schedule that will regularly bring together all Country Committee Members; · Attend and participate in the two-day sub-regional meeting and/or two-day regional Summit on the Advancement of Women's leadership in the region; · Participate in a mentorship program as a mentee of a leader/expert in your Committee and communicate at least twice per month with your mentor; · Develop and implement advocacy action plan to raise awareness of gender issues identified by your Committee by methods including networking, posting blogs and contributing to the coalition’s website; · Assist in the drafting of the country- specific status report including policy recommendations; · Assist in the coordination and development of strategic plan for dissemination of your Committees findings, policy recommendations and final report at the country level in collaboration with your fellow Country Committee members and the regional PR/Communications firm; · Ensure targets are being met in your mentorship through regular communication and reporting with your Country Officer, youth partner and mentor; · Seek potential partners and funders for future committee projects.
