I worked with Ed when I first joined Toumaz as fresh graduate. I know Ed is a highly numerate researcher, his attention to detail is impressive and his mathematical skills along with innovative thinking & problem solving is outstanding. The most enjoyable thing for me is to be able to discuss with Ed about technical details that his sound second opinion sometimes open other doors. Given the fact that Ed has multiple publications and have created multiple patents for the company, I have no hesitation of recommending him as a highly skilled DSP/Biomedical engineer carrying on research or development.

Ed came to us an intern and had to learn the business from scratch from a background in chip programming research. He has been a fantastic asset to us - hard working, versatile, thoughtful, punctual, diplomatic. He has achieved considerable grasp of many aspects of our business in a short space of time and added value to every job he undertook. I would leap at the opportunity to work with him and wish him well in his academic and commercial career.

My role in this company involves the research and development of computationally and memory efficient algorithms that are targeted at low-cost embedded processors. These algorithms are used in the processing of physiological signals (such as the electrocardiograms and respiratory signals). In particular, they are implemented on the new Sensium chip, which is packaged in a 'digital plaster', and can be used for ambulatory patient monitoring.
