I have booked numerous first aid training courses through Roslin Safety for staff members at my workplace. The training and service has been so tremendous that we have gone back to them time and time again. The service is always efficient with someone getting straight back to me. All staff at Roslin Safety has a friendly, professional and helpful disposition and the training courses provided have very competitive prices. I have also personally been put through training with Roslin Safety to gain my first aid certificate. The trainers put everyone at ease, gave me the confidence to be able to deal with first aid situations and made it a fun learning environment! I didn’t think anyone could make first aid training enjoyable and interesting but Roslin Safety did! What sets them apart is the trainers have first-hand experience of working in the emergency services and can pass on their first aid/health & safety experiences. This allows the learner to be ready to deal with any situation that arises. These guys really know what they are talking about! We also use Roslin Safety to do our first aid refresher training and they have put together other bespoke packages to suit our companies health and safety training needs. I know I can always pick up the phone (and have done) for advice from Roslin Safety. Now that’s what I call service! Thanks to Stuart & the team. Look forward to seeing you at our next refresher first aid training.

I have held a number of management roles within various departments and at large city centre stations managing up to 17 people and smaller rural stations managing up to 7 people. The roles were wide ranging and included managing a variety of people. The managerial roles within departments, including: My role within Operations Research Department involved developing tender specifications, organising and running evaluation processes, liaising with Procurement specialists and sales representatives to ensure successful completion and purchase of equipment and personal protective equipment within often tight timescales. My role also involved management of both uniformed and civilian staff where the legislative requirements for testing, maintenance, and recording of equipment were of vital importance. My role within Community Safety Department involved the development and delivery of safety training packages to all sections of the community from primary school children to senior citizen social clubs and business groups. Along with colleagues from the Police Service and Edinburgh City Council I was directly responsible for the planning, introduction and delivery of the young driver’s event held on an annual basis at Edinburgh Corn Exchange, reporting to directly to Streets Ahead road safety partnership. This involved being part of a large multi-agency management team. My role within Training Department included First Aid at Work and Defibrillation instructional roles. I was required to identify a suitable defibrillator for introduction to Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service. I was then required to plan and deliver training for all operational staff at eleven fire stations within the area. Show less
