Carbon Fibre Furniture Design Work Placement

During the summer & seasonal holiday leave from Lincoln college & Sheffield University I worked closely with John Greed Designs to gain valuable work experience in product & furniture design. When John Greed first moved to Lincoln, he launched his ground braking range of Resin & Carbon Fibre Furniture. I worked from launch the start as his very first helper to get his new business started, as I was based round the corner at Lincoln College. As one of the UK's most innovative furniture designers, John created some of the most futuristic & beautiful modern furniture ever seen using the relatively new material carbon fibre (in furniture at the time). John gained a lot of recognition in the press & recieved commisions for his work world wide. Working with John & developing a good freindship I helped him set up his first furniture workshop & also produce his first range of bespoke furniture that we delivered across London & Europe . The production involved intense work on all levels from working on the furniture glass fibre mould production, resin calculations, finishing & re finshing to completion. John Greed as gone on to be one of the Uks leading Jewellery Retailer, Designer & Manufacturer with a multi million pound turnover Show less
