Having retired from Advance Local after over 20 years, I joined CloudSense as a media consultant to lend my media expertise to there ever growing platform services to the publishing/media industry. With its native capabilities to Salesforce, CloudSense offers integration capabilities that align extremely well with the needs of the media industry. While having started out with CloudSense in a U.S. consulting role my time and efforts have now been expanded to assist with global media growth. Prior to retiring I had the good fortune to work with a team of incredibly smart people for over 20 years to build Advance Local ( a division of Conde Nast ) into a hugely successful group of news portals around the country. This team of people represent some of the best known names in the industry today. From content to sales, tech support to client services, finance and Ad Ops I worked with and built out dept after dept to support the growth of Advance Local. From a team of approximately 50 when I joined Advance we grew to a team of 300 nationwide. Over the years my role and responsibilities included all aspects of accounting and finance, Ad Operations and optimization teams both internally and outsourced, Customers Success , Client services, Business Intelligence and Order management. My teams at Advance in one form or another were responsible for supporting 95% of all digital revenues including, display, search , social, sponsorships, email marketing, video display, programmatic, digital classifieds, content marketing and more. System expertise included numerous ad platforms and ad accompanying support stack , data management, CRM , Salesforce, classified platforms and self service platforms. Most importantly, working for Advance/Conde Nast allowed me to use my nearly 20 years in print media to help convert the third largest newspaper chain in the country into a digital powerhouse.
