Upon joining Bird Tech Ltd, my first major project was developing the company's IT infrastructure. As part of this I implemented a central communications platform, leading to more structured, clearer and smoother project communication between technicians, the management and clients. Alongside this I planned and developed a range of business-specific mobile apps for employees' use in the field. Overall, these IT solutions led to significant time and cost savings, as it markedly reduced time spent completing administrative tasks, both for engineers and for office personnel, as well as reducing our environmental impact by minimsing our paper usage. Further to this, I assumed control of the company accounts, increasing the overall liquidity of business and providing additional insight into the company's financial position, enabling the company to grow and develop and invest in further ventures. Further projects I undertook in this role included a review of the business' mobile communications, which led to the implementation of a new VoIP system to queue, organise and route incoming calls according to the customer's needs, as well as the development of internal processes and policies.
