I had the privilege to work alongside Stuart, who went on to join the Design Society UQ Executive Team after I've handed over my role to him once the society has been set up on all fronts, from finance to operations. We were working on organising an event involving an industry speaker, Miss Karolyn Gainfort, a digital risk mitigator at KJR. Karolyn is a veteran in the industry, with over 30 years of experience and we were on board with getting her to speak about her perspective on 'Ethics in AI'. The event involved multiple stakeholders- it was co-organised with Design Society UQ, UQ Idea Hub and RoboGals Brisbane, with the venue, food and drinks being sponsored by the Faculty of EAIT at The University of Queensland. After I have pitched the event idea to all stakeholders and got them onboard, Stuart was critical to the process of activating the plan of action that led to the event's successful execution. He was a flexible and amicable team player that had the drive and ability to finish what he has set out to do. Stuart also demonstrated an understanding of the multiple stakeholder needs and I was very fortunate to have met and known Stuart during my time at The University of Queensland.
