Led the branding, website and SEO-friendly content creation for multiple organisations, including PMCC, Makaya, Oceans East, Quad Solutions, Strymsys, and Whitestone Software. Acted as a consultant for Microgaming, one of the world’s leading online gaming software operators. I refined their brand image and tone of voice by creating a comprehensive style guide for their Asia contingent based in Singapore. I was the brand gatekeeper by reviewing, editing, and writing copy for various channels to ensure consistency. Influenced and contributed to new initiatives that positively disrupted the status quo of the Microgaming marketing direction. This included establishing and managing social media outreach, implementing SEO-driven content, and B2B2C campaigns. Show less

Involved in a significant website revamp at synology.com. With my experience in marketing and management, I implemented processes for the smooth running of this project and encouraged the team to focus on making the webpages SEO-friendly, whilst also maintaining the respected Synology brand, and working with translation agencies for localisation. For all tasks, I successfully worked with non-native English-speaking colleagues, quickly adapted to new working cultures, and became knowledgeable of highly technical products with speed and agility. I proactively involved myself in as many projects as possible, including writing blog content, datasheets and case studies, managing marketing collateral, being a speaker at global events, securing and maintaining working relationships with high-value YouTubers (DIY Perks), and analyzing customer data from surveys and platforms like Mouseflow. As Marketing Communications Officer, I was entrusted with communicating to more than 500 language centres, corporate partners and foreign agencies. I produced press releases, news content, Microsoft Dynamics CRM email marketing, physical materials and social media content. These responsibilities required me to research content, conduct market research, subedit, repurpose and create original content for our news site and social media. I was placed in charge of maintaining our website and managing social media channels, involving HTML coding, SEO, Google Analytics research, producing media using Adobe Creative Suite and much more. I also used my initiative to implement processes, including stock counters and analytics that assisted decision making and content creation. I am proud of my achievement in increasing engagement and followership on all social media channels by three fold as well as maintaining an excellent and above average email interaction rate. During my time at English UK, we have also seen record attendances and increased sales for our B2B conferences. Moreover, I assisted in research, strategy and production of these conferences. I also received intensive digital marketing strategy and planning training to enhance my work. Show less

During this internship, I assisted the media team at The University of Sheffield to internally and externally promote the success of academics by aggregating news using Cision and producing daily newsletters using MailChimp. I also wrote copy that will be featured on the university’s outward facing website in the near future. I assisted in researching many avenues that academics could use to promote their work, including podcasts, blogs and YouTube videos. Another task was to research and plan social media and public engagement ventures for prospective undergraduates. Show less

I was tasked with assessing the current and future usage of the lab facilities within The University of Sheffield’s Information School. This included conducting wide market research, SWOT analyses, surveys, statistical analyses, interviews, and report writing. Following this, I created an extensive online user guide. To promote and market the labs, I produced screencasts, images, and video tours. As a voluntary Regional Associate Producer for an upcoming political documentary (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at3uYHmdIt0&sns=em), I sourced and arranged several interviews with voters and local MPs. This was primarily achieved through promoting the trailer and requesting interviews via my social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn). This also proved successful, as the trailer increased from 50 to 500 views in one month. During the summer of 2015 I volunteered my services to create short interview clips for the NOCN. As part of this, I travelled to Cumbria and Oxford to film interviews at two schools which cater for teenagers with special needs. Following this, I edited four hours worth of footage into a fifteen minute video using Adobe Preimere Pro. This footage will be shown at conferences and board meetings for the NOCN. This opportunity gave me the chance to work with both new faces and as an individual, while also improving my skills as a camera operator, producer, and editor. Furthermore, I proved to the NOCN that they could trust me with the task to create a video that they deemed appropriate, professional, and worthy of board members' approval. James, the marketing executive, stated that these projects “would not have been completed without my assistance and creative solutions”. I had to adhere to strict monthly deadlines along with juggling deadlines during my A-levels. I was required to think creatively, communicate frequently with the editor, and write for a specific audience. While my written proficiencies have improved twofold since 2012, this was a great test of my abilities. That this magazine was distributed locally to 15,000 houses, it was imperative that I created engaging, well written, and topical columns from the perspective of a young adult. Show less
