As a Land Steward, I inspect private properties that are in the process of being acquired and later conveyed by the land acquisition team. I am competent in using Google Earth Pro, Gaia GPS, ArcMap, and ArcGIS to prepare technology for navigation and data collection in the field. I am efficient in report writing to relay findings of the geology, flora, fauna, and the environmental hazards status of properties. Inspected and bought properties are conveyed to the Bureau of Land Management, and National Park Service. In 2019, I received certificates for completing an Introduction to Desert Tortoise and Field Techniques Course, California Lay- Rescuers Epinephrin Auto-Injector Training Verification, and Wilderness First Responder which expires 9-30-2022. I exercised leadership, public engagement, and communication while working with volunteers to complete land maintenance projects. For example, land maintenance projects include posting signs to mark where property boundaries are located, and what public regulations are exercised, removing debris and trash dumps from local and remote properties. I served at both nature centers and recreational locations within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). I performed operations in various settings, such as day parks, campgrounds, lake beach, picnic areas, historic areas, and provided information to the public as I volunteered at a county fair. At the New River Nature Center, I was responsible for answering customers questions and educating visitors about how the river formed, its history, the people and wildlife, and the BLM. At both New River and Loon Lake I served as an instructor in the BLM Junior Ranger program where I would prepare environmental education programs on specific animals, environmental awareness issues with related games and activities for children ages 5-10.
