I had the pleasure of working with Stina Cowan in the Curatorial Department at the National Nordic Museum for over two years. Stina was an exceptional colleague and a strong asset to our team. She managed many Museum programs simultaneously over her 15-year tenure with a great deal of success. It is apparent that one of her strongest talents is making connections and engaging strongly with audiences and the community we serve. Stina is sharp, creative and forward-thinking, while also being down-to-earth and easygoing, able to connect easily with all types of people. I recommend her strongly; she would be a great asset to any institution.

Stina is an exceptionally talented project manager and event producer. She is knowledgeable, creative and enthusiastic. I had the pleasure of working with Stina over a two year period at the National Nordic Museum, collaborating on the popular Meet the Author series. I was always in awe of her ability to juggle multiple projects, her remarkable organizational skills and professionalism and not least her unflagging kindness and flexibility with people at all levels. Stina would be an asset to any team and I recommend her most highly and without reservation.

The Swedish School Association was founded in 1998 by Swedish teachers Stina Cowan and Lena Powers. The part-time school offered education in Swedish to Swedish children living in Seattle. In my role at the school I guided teachers and led staff and board meetings. Additionally, I created curriculums and ensured their implementation and developed and maintained budgets.
