Senior Executive Assistant

Mar 2016 - Aug 2017
As Senior Executive Assistant to one of the busiest Rabbis in Chicago, I provided administrative, logistical, and technical support to Am Shalom's Senior Rabbi, Cantor, Rabbi Emeritus, three choirs, and the rest of the Am Shalom team. I shepherded families of B'nai Mitzvah students through the process of scheduling clergy tutoring appointments, a yearlong process, and produced student binders service programs, and other documents to support the educational programs at Am Shalom. I also coordinated numerous clergy-led group trips to places like Israel, Argentina, Budapest, Vienna, and the Deep South, serving as liaison between the Senior Rabbi, congregants, and travel agencies.

Executive Assistant to Clergy/School Assistant

Anshe Emet Synagogue reached out to me when a last-minute staff vacancy right before the High Holy Days left them without a clergy assistant at the worst possible time, and I was happy to step in and help. I served as a Clergy Assistant, providing critical administrative support in preparation for the biggest events of the year, but also provided coverage at the front desk and as the School Assistant for the Joseph & Belle Braun Anshe Emet Religious School. Early Childhood Administrative Coordinator

Oct 2014 - May 2015
I served as the lead administrative coordinator for JCC Chicago's largest department--early childhood education--and provided administrative and logistical support to department heads, program managers, and site directors and administrators. I worked with our Marketing Department to implement a new program to attract prospective parents, served as team leader to seven site administrators, managed catering, licensing, IT, and programming projects. Head Office Manager
-
Jun 2010 - Oct 2014
At KAM Isaiah Israel, I managed communications, calendars, and projects for the Rabbi, Cantor, Executive Director, and directors of the Religious and Nursery Schools. I designed and built an attractive and user-friendly website and integrated it with a back-end contact relationship management (CRM) system that allowed for easier billing and freed KAMII from relying on a ponderous paper system. I led a marketing initiative that helped turn KAMII's annual Social Justice Weekend from a small community gathering into an event with media partners and sponsors that attracts 200+ urban gardeners. I streamlined High Holy Days services ticketing, managing 45% attendance growth between 2010 and 2014 while reducing staffing hours needed to process ticket payments by half. I improved tracking of prospective members who attended High Holy Days, workshops, and volunteer events, providing more tools for member recruitment. Finally, I was named “The Voice of KAMII” by Rabbi Frederick Reeves for being a notably outgoing and friendly presence on the phone and for greeting on-site visitors and leading tours of KAMII's historic building.
