Steve has a unique blend scientific knowledge, problem solving and personality to learn in master things as he did with the Tecan Liquid Handlers. Steve quickly became an expert on the Tecan Genesis and EVO platforms that allowed him to transition manual assays to nearly completely automated assays on these platforms which resulted in >50% material reduction and nearly 80% time reduction in completion of many of the scientific assays. He also became very proficient and the repair of this instrumentation which saved countless instrument down time hours and 10's of thousands in service contracts. Steve also became an expert in creating automated templates to streamline assay setup and documentation. He was also very proficient in SharePoint which allowed him to share his expertise is the web environment for planning and scheduling. Steve's attention to detail and servant leadership personality made him a very well liked and depended on in his multiple roles at XenoTech. He has and will be a true asset on any team he is on.
