Steve was my first hire and a foundational member of the team that helped shape engineering at Hook. When he joined on, we were transitioning from a high end Flash shop to a full engineering + creative agency. To start, he rounded out our skills with his exceptional knowledge in standards-based web development. As time grew, Steve showed his ability to taken on new skills and push the boundaries of what is possible on the web. Already a typescript and javascript master, he also mastered python, build processes, new front-end technologies and libraries as needed, and is a strong full stack lead. He takes meticulous care in his methods, is an exceptional thought leader, and the type of guy that *every single person* in the office enjoys being around. He'd easily be given the "Nicest Person in the Office" award if one existed. His digital IQ is outstanding, and I was also lucky enough to see his managerial and leadership skills excel as he mentored a team of other engineers as the TL. Last but not least, one skill that I must mention that even I struggle with, Steve is great at sizing and estimating projects. He isn't afraid to be honest and realistic about timing, which is a gem of a skill in itself. I don't think he or myself could quantify the numbers of projects that we've built together, and he is a seasoned veteran in the field. He has the hard and soft skills to support any organization and I give him a five star recommendation and believe that his unique skill set would be an asset to any team.

At Marketing Associates, which is now named One Magnify, I worked on a wide variety of project types. The role asked me to be a designer as well as a programmer. I learned some new skills from scratch, like print design, and honed some of my existing skills, like HTML/CSS/JS. I was able to take multiple projects from the design phase all the way through to deployment working primarily as a one person team. My primary responsibilities were: - Web Development - Web Design - Print Design - Creative Thinking

As a principal of a start up I gained valuable experience in a variety of disciplines; however, I spent the majority of my time completing web projects. From strategy to creative to production, I had a hand in a project every step of the way. I gained proficiency in markup, programming, and design.
