It's my pleasure having had worked with Steve on a very complex BI solution. One thing that really makes Steve stand out is that he'd never compromise on design best practices or user experience of a BI solution. I stand particularly impressed by his requirements engineering skills; Steve will go an extra mile to understand what the customer really needs as opposed to their wants, a BI professional trait very few master. Indeed he will be an asset for any organization!

I founded Minerra in 2009 to fill a gap in the analytics consulting market – the lack of business focus in the design and implementation of analytics systems. My objective for Minerra is to build a team of consultants who design and implement analytics systems that deliver value to customers by providing managers and people who support them with access to information they can easily understand and use to make high-quality business decisions. We achieve this objective by using design principles and implementation methods derived from industry best practice and academic research, and best-of-breed analytics software. In my role as Principal Consultant, I am responsible for Minerra’s innovation, growth, sales and marketing strategy. In addition, I combine my in-depth business and analytics experience with my academic research and teaching experience to provide our clients with a hands-on approach by serving as a lead program director, solution architect and data modeller.I have cultivated a team of consultants who bring practical business and analytics experience to every project. Today, my team and I work with a range of clients across many industries to assess their performance monitoring and decision support challenges to provide expert-level, customisable analytics services and solutions to meet their business needs. While at Minerra I have personally worked on the following significant projects:• Data warehouse and analytics platform for a national medical services organisation• Business intelligence and data warehouse adviser to the CIO of an ASX200 financial services company• Data warehouse and analytics system for a SaaS recruitment management system• Predictive model, reports and dashboards to monitor the recruitment process of a large infrastructure project• Design and deliver a suite of analytics training courses for a large Singapore organisation.Details of the above projects are provided in the Projects section of my LinkedIn profile.
