  PI Berlin is a PV engineering consultancy offering services for investors, developers, lenders, EPCs, and module suppliers throughout the project life cycle. PI Berlin has an accredited IEC/UL testing laboratory for modules, in Germany and China, and its own research group, where our engineers have accumulated an unmatched level of expertise in PV technology.In the development project phase, our PV Systems unit offers services such as feasibility studies, bankable energy production estimates, preliminary engineering support and technical due diligence for financial close. During construction we offer a quality assurance package that includes factory audits, module batch testing, construction supervision, performance testing and final inspections pre-takeover. For operating facilities, we analyse the performance of your power plant and investigate potential issues with the system that could lead to production deficits and warranty or insurance claims. We conduct field tests of modules such as power tests, infrared thermographic imaging and electroluminescence tests for up to 100% of the plant, that can detect problems such as PID, hotspots and microcracks. With this knowledge base we are perfectly suited to provide technical due diligence on behalf of lenders or for investors before a project is acquired.As head of the PV Systems unit, reporting directly to our board, I am responsible for new business, customer relations, project control and leading our team of system engineers.
