I initially interviewed for Steven's current position and in hindsight , I am so pleased as to how much I failed in gaining that role due to how well Steven has excelled in it. By far he is the hardest working person I've ever worked with and most days ends up doing the jobs of those around him aswell as his own. His knowledge of Excel, apprenticeships and how to get young people into work is only the tip of the iceberg of a vast depth of wisdom and experience in this area. He goes above and beyond each task and is a catalyst to those around him. Steven would be a welcome colleague for any company as his good work is not praised enough. Quite simply our YEI programme would not operate without him. P.s.To add validity to what I am saying I am publicly asking for Steven not to return the favour of writing anything about myself on LinkedIn as I often see complimentary hyperbole of two friends on this site simply helping each other out with often over exaggerations.

Steven stands out from the crowd , whilst a lot of colleges lack true employer responsiveness this cannot be said of Steven. He is highly responsive and knowledgeable. You know from meeting him straight away you are in the company of a expert.

Redcar & Cleveland College’s Apprenticeship courses turn people into talented and skilled employees who can be a true asset to businesses. We work to support both the apprentice and employer to ensure the training meets the required standards to achieve success for all. Apprentices work alongside industry specialists in the College’s fantastic new building, which contains the best professional equipment and the latest learning resources. Whatever the size of your business, our Apprenticeship programmes are tailored to suit your needs. We have a wide range of courses to choose from, specifically developed with the needs of local employers in mind. We are committed to maintaining strong links between the employer, the apprentice and the College throughout, making for a truly personalised approach. Apprenticeships equip your workforce with the skills that work best for your business – specialist skills that can be built upon, enabling you to keep pace with the latest technology and developments in your sector. This means that you can utilise an Apprenticeship programme to develop and up-skill your existing staff. Funding is available for businesses to train apprentices; the size of contribution varies depending on the sector and age of the apprentice, so please contact us for details. Whilst on an Apprenticeship programme, employees will earn at least the minimum wage which is currently £3.50 per hour. Show less
