Responsible for all the duties and roles of a Secondary Classroom Teacher with particular focus on GCSE English Language and English Literature from 11 - 18 years old. These roles and responsibilities included: data collation and analysis, regular assessment and feedback, and ensuring differentiation of GCSE curriculums in a way that cultivated growth-mindset and individual student academic progress. Additional duties include: Numeracy Coordinator for the English Dept, Reach High Mentor, Cricket and Basketball Coach, and Form Tutor. Bourne End Academy is an Academy of approx. 600 students from a range of socio-economic environments. Attendance, behaviour, and student-motivation are key challenges faced by staff at BEA.

Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Educating students from grades 7-10 in the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, as well as educating students from grades 9-10 in the NSW Commerce and Information, Software and Technology Curriculums. PVIS is a small school with a highly diverse range of demographics - culturally, linguistically, and academically - educating at PVIS requires an understanding of student backgrounds, needs, and future goals; adapting to these fluidly. Additional responsibilities included conducting roles and responsibilities of a home/form room teacher as well as a Pastoral House Coordinator and assisting in pastoral care organisation, activities, and responsibilities. Extra-curricular roles included initiating a Netball team and program, initiating a Rugby Union team and program, providing tuition for students struggling with a variety of learning obstacles, and co-ordinating Code.org's Hour of Code at PVIS.
