My primary duties include managing the Cultural Resource protection and Archaeological programs for the Snoqualmie Tribe. This includes reviewing and commenting of approximately 100 projects a week that may affect culturally significant sites. I work closely with other culturally relevant departments in the Tribe follow proper cultural and archaeological protocols. I coordinate meetings between the Snoqualmie Tribe and over 20 Federal agencies, 17 state agencies, other Native American Tribes and dozens of local jurisdictions regarding the protection of cultural resources. I manage and write policies for the Department. I am the primary Tribal contact for NAGPRA actions and maintain positive working relationships with curation facilities and museums across the state. Under my leadership, the Snoqualmie Tribe Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation has taken the lead in inter-Tribal discussions about repatriations, sacred site protection, cultural resource protection, and many other issues. We have coordinated meetings with 12-15 Tribes in the Western Washington area to foster relationships without politics involved.
