Steve and I have known each other for many years but I had the privilege and honor of working with him directly on the Department of Defense Army ATIS program. Steve is a brilliant technologist with a very rare blend of extensive hands on experience with many innovative technologies while at the same time always innovating forward. He is a technical program innovator and leader and a strategist. He is able to communicate at the top technical and business levels and more importantly is able to balance strategy with execution and was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and do any work at any level to deliver. Additionally, Steve is poised, driven and passionate at all levels and always available to coach, mentor, teach and explain complex concepts to any audience. His breadth and depth of experience with Commercial programs as well as Government make him an asset to any organization. Additionally, Steve's technical, IT and business prowess is complimented by an extremely honest and humble attitude along with strong values and principles. I was honored to work with, learn from and know Steve Marney and I am a better person for it.

Steve is an outstanding Enterprise and IT Architect as well as a first class software engineer. I've had the privilege of working with Steve on and off for many years and am happy to be working with him again. He has always been on the leading edge of technology invention and adoption. I first met Steve when he was applying advanced algorithms to complex business problems for General Motors. These included material planning and vehicle sales forecasting. He developed expert systems using advanced artificial intelligence techniques. He was also leading research and development of Object Oriented Technology and applying these techniques to his work. He has represented the company to leading industry groups such as The Object Management Group, at industry conferences and as a member of industry standard body working groups. He continues to influence the state of the art and the IT industry while technology has evolved and he continues to work with industry leaders – visionaries, companies, universities and DXC customers. He is a leading adviser to DXC teams and key clients for Agile, DevOps and Cloud adoption. He's led the API First Strategy in our organization as we shift more towards as-a-service based offerings on microservices architecture delivered through a continuous integration & continuous delivery pipeline. He has a deep interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning which he continues to pursue and share with others. He is frequently sought after for advice and guidance by executives, customers, architects and engineers. He has a knack for being able to explain and influence at any level, and also the skill to actually develop and demonstrate it.
