In this role, I carry out assembly operations, electrical wiring installations, and report generation while following standard operating procedures. I also demonstrate my leadership skills by assisting Field Technician Representatives (FTRs) in troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving maintenance issues on aircraft. Avionics Supervisor
-
Apr 2016 - Jul 2020
As an Avionics & Electrical Supervisor, I led a team of 30 technicians in the fabrication or installation of Avionics and Electrical MODs on Dash 8, Beechcraft 90 series, and 200 series aircraft. I also helped in researching and implementing the DCMA and AS9100 into the Avionics Shop. I maintained a 95% to 98% on-time delivery percentage to our customers by collaborating with teams in product quality. Moreover, I reviewed the drawings and plans for builds and provided guidance and details for technicians on where installations needed to be installed, and ensured they had the correct tools to perform the installation. I oversaw harness builds on crimping, soldering, and building up connectors for the components that the harnesses hook to.I managed the correct installation of harnesses into the aircraft by confirming and testing data provided for each system. I also performed annual reviews on Avionics Technicians and provided coaching to facilitate smooth performance management. In my leadership, I also trained numerous new technicians to properly read electronics and electrical schematics, build harnesses, install harnesses following the specs from the contract, and information on soldering and review of engineering drawings.
