  I was the principal investigator of a $700,000 grant from the Hogg Foundation to study non-instutional, systemic responses to serious adolescent crises. I developed the Systemic Crisis Intervention Program. I conducted clinical outcome research on the program's effectiveness and published several papers as well as a monograph. I supervised three multi-disciplinary crisis teams using the model I developed.

  I trained pediatric residents, psychiatry residents and post-doctoral pediatric psychology residents. I was Director of Pediatric Psychology at Texas Children's Hospital. I directed Family Therapy Training for the Department of Psychiatry. I conducted research on systemic consultation, and on effective systemic psychological interventions for acutely & chronically ill children. I provided psychological consultation services for the Texas Childrens Hospital Pediatric ICU.
