Appointed by a local planning authority to act as Case Officer for a Full planning application for a large residential development proposal submitted by a major house builder, accompanied by a Planning Performance Agreement (PPA), dealing with a wide range of consultees, and a large number of objections. It seeks permission for 100 homes, open space, and associated infrastructure. Notable issues include archaeology, transport, drainage, ecology, and a S106 agreement.Instructed by a local Council to act for them in the role of Enforcement Officer at a recent S174 Enforcement Appeal Inquiry relating to a property in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire, alongside a S78 appeal for a housing development proposal. Worked alongside council colleagues who were defending the main planning appeal, we produced proofs of evidence, negotiated a Statement of Common Ground, undertook site visits, and appeared as an Expert Witness to provide appropriate resources where needed.Submitted planning applications on behalf of housing developers, monitoring associated progress through the application stages, negotiation, and policy justification, including on Outline, and Reserved Matters applications at Gloucester, Luton, Newbury, and Southampton.
