At present, I use Radan and Inventor to provide the production team with programs for Trumph and Prima Power punch machines to produce electrical enclosures and switch gear products. These are all bespoke products and are designed to strict specifications and industry standards. I also use Radan and Inventor to produce both 2D layout designs and 3D models of sheet metal assembly’s. Alongside programming duties, I help develop new tools with tooling suppliers, help with the development and fine tuning of post processors along-side software engineers, write SOP’s and use lean manufacturing techniques such as PFMEA, OEE, 5 why’s and MRP systems to aid production flow. I also assist sales, production and customers with technical issues both over the phone and face to face. Since my time at A.T.E, I have increased sheet utilization by 13.68% resulting in a cost saving 9.42%.

Had a diverse role incorporating many technical aspects, from the setting of Amada HFE and Europe 258 C.N.C machines to planning the work load in relation to MRP (Factory Master) system and welding schedules to achieve the pending sales targets.I would utilise Auto CAD and CAM systems to program machines and produce both blank parts and drawings. I would also assist the design office with N.P.I and problem solving. I also assisted the planning department with estimation and production planning. I have a good understanding of aluminium, mild and stainless steel fabrication and finishing a basic understanding of laser cutting and 3D modelling.I have a good working professional relationship with Amada UK, and advize on tooling and basic machine breakdowns. As a supervisor, my roll consists of leading a team of people and overseeing the distribution of sub-contracted work and assist with project management tasks I would advise both customers and sales staff on technical related issues. I would utilise lean manufacturing techniques on a daily basis to reduce production costs.
