Worked in the Operations department of Plexus in charge of the overall project planning and development of offshore operations, I am also the focal point for the offshore personnel relating to any issues with equipment including changes to procedures or operations which could have a detrimental affect on the running of our equipment.OPITO approved assessor and verifier, this entails assessing and training key offshore personnel to ensure a minimum standard is achieved so that the client receives the best service. Sampling of previous evidence from assessments carried out ensures a fair approach to all key personnel, verifying also ensures that all supporting evidence is relative to the assessment.Being in charge of the project delivery requires that all equipment meets Contractual Delivery Dates (CDD) the client has stipulated, the equipment also has to meet any QC standards required by the client which could just be having a Third party inspector check over the equipment before mobilisation.Completion of the Surface wellhead Spaceout with Mudline suspension requires working with Imperial (2 decimal places over 500+/-) and Metric (3 decimal places over 150+/-), working with a range of 5" to +/- 2.5" or 8" range to +/- 4".At my time in the Technical role I have attended various client meetings onshore, meeting the client on weekly basis to ensure that all expectations are met and the project is delivered to highest standards achievable. Previously in FST position which involved preparing equipment offshore equipment and ensuring all clients expectations were met, discussing with offshore Company men and Drilling Engineers to ensure that all parties are in agreement with the planned operations. Ensure that the equipment is run as per procedures and if any deviations are required the company is noted to give clear instructions to carry out, ensured all equipment was returned to Plexus and in a reusable condition.Travelled the world with Plexus which involved working offshore to the highest standards however time to time requested to carry out onshore work, this involved meeting the Client onshore and discussing how to get the equipment offshore. Arrange a plan to ensure that all equipment is assembled as per operational requirements, torque up hangers and workout a spaceout string along with attending DWOP's HAZOP's and any other required customer meetings as a Plexus representative.Furthered my knowledge of rig systems whilst offshore which in returned allowed me to see how these all related to our wellhead operations, build strong relationships with the rig crews along with Service providers to ensure clear path of communication at all times. • Workshop Technician
      • Feb 2009 - Jan 2010

Started in the Oil & Gas sector stripping Surface wellheads and mudline suspension systems, this involved dis-assembling wellhead's and running tools to components before cleaning. Whilst in component form each individual item was refurbished back to the required tolerances, once all items was re-coated I had to re-assemble back together to the highest standard. These include but not limited to 15kpsi Surface wellhead's, 10k Hydraulic wellhead's, 10k Minimal wellhead's, Mudline and surface hangers along with the relevant running tools, BOP test tooling, Annular seal's (Packoff's), wellhead running tools and wash tools.During my time in the workshop I was expected to make up hanger assemblies on either 30"/20"/13 3/8" or 9 5/8", this involved testing and measuring for offshore. Travelled overseas with Plexus to make up and assemble equipment including loading baskets and creating a manifest. Show less
