      Chief Engineer: Responsible for safe, efficient operations of MT Alaskan Legend. The Alaskan Legend is a 190,000 DWT Tanker trading between Alaska and the U.S. West coast in the TAPS trade. Duties, Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Strengths include the following: Responsible to the Company’s Chief Operating Officer for the maintenance and repair of the MT Alaskan Legend in a safe and environmentally sound manner for a vessel in the Alaska/West Coast Trade. I act as a liaison between the vessel and the Companies Engineering Superintendents. I Have knowledge in ABS, USCG (CFRs), IMO/ MARPOL and ISGOTT rules and regulations. Initialize the Scheduling of voyage repairs as required. Implement yearly budgets and ensured the vessel is properly stowed. Responsible for preparation and execution of shipyard overhaul periods. Supervise and manage ABS Nautical Systems NS5 planned maintenance systems aboard ship. Implement Alaska Tanker Company’s HSE polices and goals. Order Bunkers for the vessel and I'm the PIC who is responsible for the safe loading of the vessel's fuel in an efficient manner with out causing harm to personnel or the environment. Show less
