  As an operations intern for the NTPGA I was responsible for running junior golf tournaments across the DFW metroplex. This included everything from golf course and facility setup to being a rules official and a representative of the NTPGA brand while interacting with spectators, parents and golf course staff. The experience allowed me to enhance my interpersonal communication skills and learn more about event management and planning.This opportunity taught me a lot about how the largest PGA section in the nation operates and how the golf business works.

  As a lead intern for the marketing I am responsible for the production of sporting events. This includes helping to plan and execute promotional giveaways, coordinate in game fan engagement activities, and work with other departments to ensure that the game or match runs smoothly. In addition for the baseball team I have begun to learn more in game production and run sound boards, while coordinating with the video board operator. I have worked with nearly every sport that the marketing department is responsible for game production. In addition to in game production, this role has taught me the behind the scenes aspects of a sports marketing department.
