(name, location, local contact and demarcation point) • Update and track orders on an Excel Spreadsheet. Monitoring Platform (Nagios) • Address and acknowledge any circuit that should drop on the monitoring platform. • Open a record number and begin to triage the down circuit. • If the circuit fails to the smart jack, open a ticket with the local LEC and continue to follow up until the problem is resolved. • During this whole process calls are made to the customer keeping them up to speed. Trouble Ticket Maintenance • Once the ticket is out to the carrier and they have acknowledged there is an issue that requires a dispatch out or a dispatch in, escalate every hour until this issue is resolved. • Keeping the customer informed as to what and where the problem is and also giving them an estimated time to repair once that is acquired. • Confirming that the circuit is restored once the carrier gives the reason for the outage. • Clearing counters in the router and head end to ensure the circuit remains error free.
