I was required to work all public facing aspects of the museum, from selling and up-selling tickets and events, operating the gift shops, stock management, gallery invigilation, surveying and providing accurate and engaging information to the public. I was a part of the original 27 visitor assistants during the launch of the new museum. In this time I had to ensure and protect the safety of the public and invited guests during V&A Dundee’s busy first year. Mollusk is a quarterly magazine which is about promoting new and upcoming artists in all fields, from illustration to photography, music to fashion; each issue features an eclectic mix of fresh new photos, stylistic art, and interviews from those new artists willing to lend their services. As Co-Editor and Illustrator for the publication I managed various aspects of production including: liaising with local and international artists to meet strict deadlines; researching artists’ work and creating my own illustrations for various articles.
