Civil Affairs Specialist

Conduct Civil Military Operations. This often means interacting with local civilians and gathering critical information about thier needs or advising them on local governance. Civil Affairs soldiers can be required to hand out humanitarian aid or arrange the delivery of supplies to local government agencies. Civil Affairs Soldiers also advise thier commander on legal issues related to the handling of civilians. A secondary responsibility is to build and maintain a large knowledge base about the local customs, nationalities, ethnicities, and political groupings. Civil Affairs soldiers do not collect intelligence, instead they collect civil information that is critical to peace keeping and rebuilding operations.
