Steve managed one of my teams for the better part of a year. Unfortunately, he was let go during a deep cutting workforce reduction at Indeed. Steve’s departure was a great loss for me, for the team, and for the company. Within that year, Steve successfully navigated complex waters with a good deal of product churn. He built a strong team with happy engineers, each of whom had great feedback for him. His reports gave him a 100% rating during that time. He managed three significant shifts in strategic priority within one year. He built strong relationships with other managers. And he delivered great results despite that chaotic environment. Steve shows numerous strengths that make him a valuable leader. His ability to ramp up quickly was a huge asset for the team. He is a great people manager, he inspires loyalty and dedication.
