Using Cleo and Pathways alongside my own Clinical Skills to triage patients mostly for Primary Care concerns over the Telephone when they call 111. Sometimes these patients require more urgent treatment and even emergency treatment due to ever more people calling 111 instead of 999. There are many other triage tools and clinically safe web sites to draw upon such as Tox Base, The Nice Guidelines and The British Nursing Formulary including NHS Choices and many others which can also be a strong learning tool and are constantly reviewed and updated. Regular update training is provided and an ongoing audit system to maximise the learning objectives and prevent inappropriate assessments of particular chronic illnesses. Show less
