Over the last six years as I have gotten to know Steve he has shown that not only is he a strong educator but an excellent administrator, coach and manager. His dedication to the advancement of athletics, leadership, student learning and growth and professional growth have been outstanding during this time. Steve has shown time and time again the ability to think creatively and to come up with new and exciting ways to help students and colleagues grow and also to find new ways to recognize important achievements. I have had the chance to work on several committee's with Steve and his vision is infectious. He works well in a collaborative environment suggesting a Leadership Conference for Student Athlete Leaders and a recent coaching award recommendation both of which were accepted with enthusiasm by committee's which Steve has then worked with to develop a firm vision for the CISAA. Steve is a wonderful, dedicated professional and is always searching for new and exciting ways to grow personally, professionally and to help those around him.

Steve brings a wealth of experience to the Phoenix Volleyball, with his NCCP level 3 certification, exceptional coaching skills, and advanced technical knowledge. Steve has been an educator for over 20 years balancing his role as Athletic Director in the Ontario school system with his club level volleyball coaching and his Technical Director role. Steve is currently completing a Masters degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and is a passionate advocate for the development of both recreational and competitive sport programming within the school systems and community. Steve has recently joined Phoenix Volleyball, a new volleyball club in the GTA, as the head coach for the U17 girls’ team. Steve’s philosophies of providing a positive learning environment along with encouraging a healthy active lifestyle aligned well with Phoenix’s mission statement
