I started in a team of three developing a thick client application for the mining industry. As part of this team, I led the development of the acQuire user interface and developed many of the components of acQuire that are still in use today. We were a highly productive team of three for 7-years working on this platform to make acQuire the premiere GIM solution in the mining space (it still is). A change in direction then led us to start work on a rewrite of our old MFC and C++ codebase into a more modern .Net ecosystem. Our team more than tripled in size as we embarked on a long journey to reimagine GIM software. Show less

This was a contract position as a developer testing the mail and messaging module for the R380 Smartphone (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ericsson_R380). This was the first smartphone, and way ahead of its time as the hardware and software were still playing catch-up to the ideas and concepts. It was an interesting experience working in the UK with teams in multiple locations throughout Sweden and the UK. Designed ISA & PCI cards for the PC to implement the company's "AI" technology. This included the board design, construction, written in assembly (for boot code) and C (for the application code). Worked on the Windows GUI for designing "programs" using the company's "AI" tech. (Note: The "AI" was eventually discredited as anything useful, which was a shame, but it was a great experience to work on so many technologies) Designed ISA & PCI cards for the PC to implement the company's "AI" technology.
