Senior leader in this highly effective school, where over 91% of students gained 5 A*-C grades at GCSE in the summer exam series of 2013. All members of our leadership team are accountable for the achievement and standards of all students across the school. Beyond this, my specific areas of responsibility are for Performance Management, Pastoral Care, Extra-Curricular Provision and Support Staff management. I also line manage Mathematics and a number of other subject departments. I maintain a significant teaching commitment and I am still a passionate classroom practitioner, judged as Outstanding under the new Ofsted assessment criteria. Show less

Assistant Principal

I was seconded to this school in challenging circumstances following the appointment of the new Principal. My role was to support this leadership transition phase and to drive up standards of performance across all aspects of the school's work. The initial phase of my work at Kings was highly successful, resulting in a promising Ofsted inspection in autumn 2012 under the new inspection framework. This inspection recognised significant capacity to improve at the school. Specific roles that I held during my time at Kings College included leading Learning and Teaching, where I supported the students by moving up the quality of provision to 'Good' and beyond for a number of teachers. I also line managed the Sixth Form and some subject departments. Show less
