I have known Steve, many years since working together in OSG in 2007 onwards. Steve has a good deal of experience in the marine sectors, at sea (up to Chief engineer), in supervision and repairs (as Technical Superintendant ) and projects works (retrofit and Drydocking Superintendent) and in the new building sector as technical Manager of SMC. Steve is always willing to share his experiences and knowledge for the benefit of those working with him. Steve likes to keep positive regardless of the situations, he takes his roles and responsibilities seriously, is keen to take the decisions within his responsibilities without delaying. No matter what the situation he manages to keep the rest of us smiling and working together to resolve any situation quickly and effectively. Steve believes in good communications keeping the problems open and on the table to quote "a small problem early is still a small problem, but a small problem not acted on soon becomes a major headache". Enjoyable to work with.

I have known Steve, working in SMC but his reputation goes before him. Steve has a motto "Keep Smiling" no matter the diversity, problem or stressful situation Steve will always do his best to keep the team spirits high and the projects moving forward. As an ex marine engineer and a vast amount of shore going experience Steve has very very good technical background with experiences he is always willing to share. An all round team player, supportive to his juniors and seniors staff alike, open and transparent in everything he does. The ability and willingness to make vital important decisions , taking the responsibilities makes working with him a pleasure allowing for open and constructive dialog.
