Steve has good people and technical skills. I value Steve patience and commitment to help his customers (scientists) even outside of his normal working schedule.

I always love to see people that are excited about their work, and Steve certainly qualifies as one of those fortunate individuals. As the manager of the flow cytometry core at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Steve has proven to be highly engaged not only with his internal customers, the students and faculty at the university, but also with his external customers, the vendors like Invitrogen that he relies on to bring the best value to his cores' capabilities. Specifically, following one of my technical seminars, Steve approached me to discuss ways that we can collaborate with one another on some of the new products that were presented. A plan was set forth, and Steve followed through with the experimentation and was able to provide Invitrogen with high quality data and recommendations of his experience with the product. This type of customer feedback is invaluable, and very much appreciated. Bottom line, Steve is a highly dynamic and talented individual, and a great person to work with.

I am currently managing daily administrative research operations at MCI, as well as serving as Chief, Flow Cytometry Core Laboratory. I have research expertise in the areas of cancer biology, stem cell therapy, transplant immunology and xenotransplantation. For the past 12 years, my research lab has been studying cancer stem cells (CSC) and circulating tumor cells (CTC); working to develop better methods of purification, culture and analysis at both genetic and functional levels, as well as using CSC in HTS drug discovery. Exosomes are the latest addition to the lab’s research efforts, working primarily with patient samples to measure response to therapy and to look for early diagnostic biomarkers. Steve also currently manages clinical flow cytometry at the hospital lab. Show less
