Endured pain and surgeries. My mind is still sharp, but my body is not in such great shape. I have several medical conditions, that prevented me from efficiently completing my job as a classroom educator. I felt it was time to step down and turn the job over to someone younger and able to give the students the full attention they deserve. I enjoy reading, watching educational programs on TV, movies, and computing. Endured pain and surgeries. My mind is still sharp, but my body is not in such great shape. Bartender/Manager
-
Sep 1976 - Apr 1984
Former skating rink converted to a very large nightclub. There were three sections. I worked the service bar from opening until the live entertainment would stop at midnight. Then move to work the disco bar from midnight until 2 AM. Between the two separate clubs there was a game room with 8 pool tables, other games, and a full bar. Fortunately, I only had to work 4 days each week, as it was a hard job. I was fortunate to meet many well known music artist who were in Muscle Shoals recording. Glen Frey, Delbert McClinton, Julian Lennon, John Anderson, Percy Sledge, Sha Na Na, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Jones,Joe Cocker, and many more. I was usually their personal bartender while they were unwinding from a day's work. Show less
