Along with my Co-founder Chris McHale we re-cast SPK and Associates into a firm that provided IT services to engineering organizations. Since 2005 we have greatly broadened that charter into providing process architecture, application support, and industry expertise in both Bio-Medical and Hi-tech. We are key partners to companies such as PTC, Dassault and Electric Cloud, providing key sales and implementation assistance to their clients.

Some of this work was architectural in nature, some of it temporary management, some of it was triage. Some examples: Established a process driven phone in support system for Embarcadero Technologies greatly improving customer interactions over problematic product support issues. On an emergency basis I established a support team to handle email questions sent in to startup AllAdvantage.com. I quickly put in place a Remedy call management system, erased the backlog of over 200,000 unanswered questions and configured the organization for massive growth. I consulted with Hewlett Packard over methods of normalizing the customer experience when being transferred over continents and timezones and cultures. Improvements here helped HP capture additional market share from other vendors doing multi-vendor support.

Santa Clara, California As a favor to a friend, CEO Dave Tiley, I took on the initial charter of fixing a broken product sales business at this reseller of mechanical CAD software. I also needed to develop the company's support organization into a first-class operation. Over 4 years I grew the revenue stream over 6 fold and when I left had almost a third of the company reporting to me.

In this position I was responsible for growing a multi-million dollar Professional Services business ($20 million when i left). To do this I had to re-train much of the workforce from a traditional support delivery mentality to a Consultant mentality and to onboard hundreds and hundreds of consultants to provide support for clients throughout the western United States. To accomplish all, this many new businesses within my unit had to be invented to get us to our revenue objectives. Consultant productivity had to be driven to new heights, typically in the 200-300k per deliverer. Show less
