I have worked with Steve for the past 2 years. Steve is always reliable, get things done on time with excellent quality or work. His contribution to IMS project is invaluable. He has excellent software development skill, and learn new technologies quickly.

Steve first worked on my team as coop in 2010. Steve was an obvious hire, a smart problem solver, with good coding skills and egger to learn. Steve rewarded us by ramping up quickly and becoming a productive member of the development team. Our only regret was we were not able to offer him a job as his term ended. We were finally able to hire Steve in late 2011 and immediately threw him into critical BB10 development. Steve quickly made himself an SMS and Cell Broadcast expert and established himself as a reliable, dedicated member of the team and contributed a lot to getting BB10 ready for market. During the next 2 years Steve continued to impress everyone with whom he worked. He became the go to guy for SMS issues and one of our best crash analysts. Steve was indispensable in getting IMS integrated into BB10 and was the first to make IMS calls over Wi-Fi and cellular. His knowledge of the IMS system, his excellent coding and his abilities to debug and fix issues earned Steve a great reputation in BlackBerry. He was loaned to another team to assist a project in crisis and sent to remotes labs to supervise system testing. Steve will be an asset to any team that is fortunate to get his attention.

I joined BlackBerry at the beginning on BB10 development and was immediately placed into a crucial role developing SMS and CBS at the Cellular Service layer. During this period, I became an expert in SMS and helped BB10 achieve technical acceptance.Following that, I assigned and complete the first successful VoLTE demo to the VP of Radio. This required close collaboration with several teams to accomplish this special project. The successful demo led to being the only developer for the Roving Manager (controls how IMS connects to a network) and IMS Interface (for cellular services) for the T-Mobile Wifi Calling project. I was responsible for their completion and success, and this led me to achieving highest performance review, and a promotion. My current project was extending Roving Manager to handle VoLTE requirements and ePDG. I was collaborating closely with another developer and drove the required changes across the system to accomplish the new requirements.Roving Manager on BB10 - Designed and implemented project that controls how IMS registers on a network written in C - Adapted the project to fulfill requirements for T-Mobile Wifi Calling, VoLTE and ePDG - Collaborated to design interfaces to IMS, VPN, Cellular Data, Phone, and Wifi - Triaged, diagnosed, discussed and resolved issues across entire system - Maintained simulator to exercise all features to verify new development and prevent regressionsInterface between Cellular Services and IMS on BB10 - Designed and implemented project that manages IPC to the IMS process written in C - Interface for cellular services (Phone, SMS, STK) to communicate with IMS process - Implemented SMS stack to handle RL and TL layers of SMS for IMSCellular Services on BB10 - Implemented SMS and CBS layers in Cellular Services project written in C - Triaged and collaborated on all issues related SMS and CBS - Resolved all process crashes in Cellular Services - Implemented seamless handling of modem resets
